The Nook, Bourton-on-the-Water

Bourton High Bridge

Well known for its beauty and attractions, Bourton-on-the-Water with its famous bridges is situated on the banks of the River Windrush, in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold Hills ("the Cotswolds"). The town boasts a Motor Museum (housing "Brum"), a Bird Park, a Miniature Village, and a Model Railway among other attractions appealing to adults and children. There are pubs, tea-rooms, restaurants and take-away food outlets.

There is no better way to see this village than to be based there in a comfortable self-catering holiday cottage, so you can see it early in the morning or late in the evening when the many visitors it attracts have left. Other pleasant countryside walks take you to pretty nearby villages like Lower Slaughter (20 minutes). And it is within easy motoring distance of Cotswold Farm Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Oxford, Stratford and Cheltenham.

The Nook self-catering holiday cottage is a modern, Cotswold stone, mid-terrace house which is tastefully and comfortably furnished, fully equipped, with a double bedroom with King-size bed (know as Queen-size in USA) and a second bedroom with a single bed (actually, a double-bunk, but we don’t recommend more than 3 in the Nook). It is situated in a quiet area a few minutes walk from the centre of town.
