THE NOOK IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AS A HOLIDAY LET, EFFECTIVE 1-JAN-13.

However, we are retaining here some of the information about Bourton-on-the-Water, as it may be of interest or be useful to Web Surfers.  But, we should warn you that it is no longer kept up-to-date.

Well known for its beauty and attractions, Bourton-on-the-Water with its famous bridges is situated on the banks of the River Windrush, in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold Hills ("the Cotswolds"). The town boasts a Motor Museum (housing "Brum"), a Bird Park, a Miniature Village, and a Model Railway among other attractions appealing to adults and children. There are pubs, tea-rooms, restaurants and take-away food outlets.

There is no better way to see this village than to be based there in a comfortable self-catering holiday cottage, so you can see it early in the morning or late in the evening when the many visitors it attracts have left. Other pleasant countryside walks take you to pretty nearby villages like Lower Slaughter (20 minutes). And it is within easy motoring distance of Cotswold Farm Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Oxford, Stratford and Cheltenham.
